Another LD wouldn't be terrible but feel that one of the D could move over such as Casey if needed, if we have an injury. Perhaps a more shut-down type would be a better fit though.

I'm fine with Lazar as 4th line C but definitely think we need depth given injury risk. Someone who can play C and having Lazar slide to RW wouldn't be a terrible move.

Is Gritsyuk for sure able to come over at the end of this year? That could be a good addition but still could be a risk if he can't translate to North America hockey quickly.

I think how much investment we make on rentals could be dictated by how good we are, but definitely think we could use a few pieces up front. Nelson would be a great addition but would be expensive.

We have Hatakka coming back from injury. He's fine as a depth LD.

Just grab a couple cheap 4th line centers and that should be enough for rentals.

PDOCast yesterday all about Nico. Nice shoutout from Dimitri at the end as well to Devils fans calling us a bunch of sickos and that we're the most supportive bunch for the show. Not surprising given how much Dimitri loves some of our guys lol

The center depth is annoying because I'd rather try and grab a guy who can play up the lineup provide offense than adding some 4C help but we might have to do that. I think we should probably try and do a 4C and like an offensive middle 6er

The only reason Labanc is attractive is because the team has done such a poor job drafting forwards recently. There should be a few prospects at Utica with actual talent playing their way up to the NHL. Maybe Foote will help but the organization is barren at forward right now.
i had so much hope put in that sniper. but @Ripshot 43 is one of the bigger busts i have witnessed.

I still think we squandered them, as I wanted Heiskanen or Pettersson form 2017 and Dach/Zegras in 2019 instead! :sarcasm:

But seriously, the 2019 draft is looking really weak. Jack may be the only elite forward from that draft. Maybe I forgot about or I’m not noticing some guys picked in the later rounds.

Kakko and Dach are super meh, Turcotte is a bust, Byram has been kind of slow to develop,

Seider looks good. Cozens not bad. Broberg still hasn’t spent an entire season in the NHL.

Podkolzin is more meh. The vast majority of those guys look more like guys picked between 10th-20th or even 20-30 and not 1-10.

And Trevor “Better player under 21 than Jack Hughes not even two years ago” Zegras, who has 22 points in his last 50 games, after definitely looking like the best forward after Hughes from that draft his first few years.
