Oh good lord...well Lou had to fulfill his quota of bringing in an ex-Devil I suppose. I don't get it though, there are other better vets on the market and Kinkaid/Wedge shouldn't be replaced by Clemmensen at Albany - unless this means Kinkaid's coming up here.

Other vets most likely wouldn't take a two way one year deal.

Lou wants Kinky to be the back up but wants insurance as well.

I said if Marty isn't back in 14-15, I bet Lou signs Clemmensen to play in Albany.

I didn't think the guy would get an NHL deal after his last two seasons.

Scott Clemmensen signed to a 1-year, 2-way contract. Devils expect Keith Kinkaid to be Schneider's backup, but just in case.

It's up to Kinkaid to earn that spot. Pete has to give him preseason games to prove it. Clemmer helping Wedgewood in Albany is good.

That a good deal if you ask me. Gives Kinkaid a chance and if he struggles you have a guy who has been there before. Not to mention Schnieder will be seeing the ice 60-70 games at least.

The 2-way part was pretty important in getting another goalie so our young guys still get chances.

Kinkaid and Clemmensen will compete for the backup spot, it's KK's to lose but if he bombs this is a passable insurance policy.
