I know it's hard as a GM to swing and hit on everything and I don't think any of us expect that but this is a guy that knew Fox wanted to come, Panarin, too. Signed Trouba to a mega deal. Guy isn't even better than Fox or Miller. Lindgren might even be better. Pionk is a guy people said stunk and has flourished there in WPG. He had to make two slam dunk, easy picks at 1OA and 2OA. They had issues with Andersson, issues with Kravtsov, issues with DeAngelo. I'd say the FO needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. I really would. Something isn't right.

Its not tnr effort, its like the defense is not in sync with the offense. Defense doesn't chip in enough. Its like they are reluctant to be aggressive on D.

I always felt like the hysteria about Kreider not playing hard every game were ridiculous but the guy has been complete garbage all season. He's not as good of a player as Mika, but he's been even worse than him.

"Give them a lot of credit they played well."

After every f***ing loss. I miss Torts, at least he had some fire and personality.
Quinn is a born loser. He’s so f***ing eager to give so much respect to the opponent every postgame. Always with the excuses and the respect. You wonder if it makes it, subconsciously at least, easier for these players to lose and accept losing.

this team is not nearly as fun as the team that stopped in March. No way brother. This is the play in team. Quinn never got them back and clearly cannot manage this team under these circumstances. This is the team that got crushed in the bubble.

The team that got crushed in the bubble looked a lot like the team that stumbled into the break as well. The difference was Zibanejad was still wowing people.

I think this is true but I disagree on the effort. It isnt there and the desire to compete and get to the tough areas isnt there.

You know who should be playing and I bet management does as well. I know you won't admit it, but our defense is garbage right now with a good player sitting at home.
And yet despite all that the team would rather have him sit at home than have him back

Really makes ya think :sarcasm:

I agree somewhat.

I think we’ve essentially lost ADA, Zibanejad and any chemistry that Panarin and Strome had.

Right now we are probably getting about 40 percent of the production those guys provide last year. And of that 40 percent, 90 percent is Panarin, who hasn’t looked nearly as good as his numbers indicate.

The drivers of our top 3 lines are either not playing well or hurt.

i question if they know what to do.

Both Gordon and JD were alarmed at what happened against Carolina . . . then the Rangers won the lottery and it’s as if they just moved forward.

You never know how long a competing window is, but it’s always too short to waste on bad coaching.

Get an NHL coach with a history of success in this league in here. The Renney saga is over.

I don't have much to say other than I feel sick to my stomach after watching that game. And to make it worse, my friend who is a Devils fan, won a bet that the Devils would win tonight. Ugh. What a disgrace, they controlled the puck a lot but looked totally lifeless in the third period. Kakko played great, I will say that. And missing Panarin and Miller really shows.

Never go full Ranger dude. If you bet on a Rangers game, it needs to be against them. You'll be guaranteed to be half happy instead of full Ranger.

This is a good point. Is the Martin style of defense not allow the D men to aggressively jump in on the offense?
Also doesn't hurt we no longer have the guy who was best at doing that.

Been ugly watching that win percentage stat drop every game when they show Quinn on the bench. I know we're rebuilding but 2.5 seasons under .500 should put any coach on the street if it gets there by years end.

There has been no identity to this team under Quinn. No captain. No direction. Nothing you could say about what this team is.

there is no real system. There is now no powerplay. We have 4 good top 4 dmen and a good goalie that when healthy keep the puck out of the net mostly but that does not equal winning hockey alone.

Quinn has never been a good coach. Really anywhere. He’s got no resume to fall back on. You cannot lose these kids. You have to get them scoring. And you better bring in a coach that can get them going and the stars on this team going at the same time before it’s too late

Im not defending Quinn, just pointing out its not his job to motivate professional players before games

It is his job to have the team ready to play and to perform.

If they dont meet expectations for any reason it ultimately falls on him.

That good player put himself above the team. Unfortunately there's a few other "I's" and not enough "We"

I don’t think 18 guys suck.

I think 3 or 4 core guys suck, and 2 aren’t in the lineup for very different reasons.

And that’s a big enough hole to let serious amounts of water.
One is Johnson, who is the other one? Chytil? Can't remember another injuried player.
