Devils make small move, roster ready for season

The Devils made a small trade yesterday, sending young defenseman Randy Jones and a 3rd round pick to Atlanta in exchange for veteran winger Ville Peltonen and a 5th round pick. Peltonen is a solid player on both ends of the ice and is signed for the next three seasons. The Devils were dealing from depth on defense, as Jones was slated as the 9th defenseman.

The Devils opening night roster will likely be

The team may still look for a little depth at forward in case of injury, but the starting lineup seems set.
