GDT: Devils @ Leafs March 23rd 7pm ET

More like 98-0, and it doesn't count unless we dominate the full 60 minutes of every game, never give up a single defensive mistake, and make an earthshattering hit every 5 seconds, with an intimidating scowl permanently imprinted on every one of our player's faces.

No.. everyone is going to get a shot here, including Kallgren. It's the prudent thing to do here, and someone, and hopefully two, show they are reliable, and part of the future. I don't care who it is.. but Mrazek and Campbell have histories of success, and Kallgren has three games. Kallgren will probably get the next start,

As one of many fans, I will always believe, and I cannot give up on our brothers and sisters!

Having said that, sometimes it really seems like the cheese has fallen off some crackers around here. :)

So Kallgren is now a Vezina guy whose feels we have to proterct?

The Leafs need to get either Mrazek or Campbell going, and it won't happen from the bench.

But pretty sure it wasn't Mrazek in net :sarcasm: But in reality, perhaps not as much for Mrazek, but Soup has built up so much goodwill with the city that fans celebrate every save even when he is struggling. Lots of Soup chants. But maybe you are right...if Mrazek struggles it could be the beginning of the bronx cheers tonight. Hope it doesn't get to that.

I was at the Arizona game last Thursday and Mrazek was booed off the ice. Fans weren’t happy that night

Looking forward to see how Gio looks on the Leafs defense. Certainly can't argue its an improvement on what we had.

Hopefully he can help stabilize things and our goaltending can return to normalized again.

Was talking with the guy who was in my seats that night and he said you could even see the players react differently to the new guy coming into the net, like they were relieved.

I expected Campbell to get the majority of the starts once he's back. For the games between now and Campbell getting back, I'd rather Kallgren get more of the games because we need to figure out what he is. We already know what Mrazek is. Kallgren should get one of the games Saturday or Sunday. Imagine Kallgren being put against Florida after not playing for a week or Mrazek against the Florida....

The players also can't look like they are having fun outside of games until they hoist the cup.

I agree with needing to get Campbell going. I'm done with Mrazek though. He got his shot when Campbell went down and he lost that chance.

Kallgren will get the Saturday game, in all likelihood... unless somehow Mrazek turns in a Vezina calibre guy tonight.

im thinking the same, leafs are hoping BIg Pete plays well tonight, give Kallgren the start on Saturday, than go with Big Pete on Sunday vs Fla
 
An interesting dynamic is that I think the Leafs will have to send Mrazek down when Muzz is healthy just to stay under the cap.
