I'm not sure about that. Fans have been surprisingly encouraging for the goalies throughout their struggles. I have a good feeling about tonight. In a still going to give up 3 goals kind of way. But leafs will win.

Agreed, I hated Balckwell when we played Seattle because he out hustled us out there and scored a nice goal and another nice assist. Wouldn't mind him up there with JT and Willy to see if he could give them that gritty game

His most common line mates in New York last year were panarin & strome. So he definitely had experience playing with highly skilled line mates. In Seattle is was gourde, who when looking at that roster is pretty much top class for them

Hopefully tonight can be an important step in putting that entire waivers scenario in the past. Having Mrazek sharp if he can at all be a potential option seems like a reasonable idea.

I don't recall that but I've been away, last game I went to was the Minnesota game. Which games are you referring to?
They haven't had many games with full capacity.

Give Mrazek tonight and the kid Saturday and if Soup is ready he get MTL on the road and the kid get FLA on Sunday.
Gio's homecoming and energy of that will distract from Mrazek and his possible crap play
Soup returns on the road and will not have our fans on him if he's stumbles if he plays well even better.
Kall get's Fla and a trap game but better for it to happen with the kid in net and the boys seem to play better when the comp is better.
If Petr is crap and Soup returns you run Soup and Kall and let Petr play for the Marlies and get his reps in and hope he finds his game

If this goes poorly, Kallgren is going to be the one facing Florida and Boston next week unless Jack is ready. I fear even if Jack is not totally ready both he and the team are going to feel pressured to bring him back for those 2 games.

I wish Mrazek could channel his younger self. As Mickey Redmond says in these clips "He's like a monkey on a high wire"

I'm not sure if everyone feels the same way but Mrazek does not move like this anymore. He looks a lot stiffer to me, like he has hip issues or less flexibility. He's only 30 but this position no doubt can be hard on the body.

in 292 NHL starts the guy is a .909 and a 2.64 GAA and that's playing with some pretty loosey goosey defensive teams, he's had some horrendous starts this year for sure and had more softies than the fat kid who lives next door to the Dairy Queen. Mrazek has proven he can play at this level and with a better defense in front of him, maybe he'll be the guy who put up the .914 and 2.39 in 40 starts at Carolina in 18/19. He just need to quiet down in his crease and he'll be OK.

I am putting a loss next to that game anyways because it's a back to back after playing Montreal.

Montreal may be a shit team but they absolutely get up for games against Toronto, Boston etc.

Florida plays in Ottawa at the same time Saturday, both teams will be coming in for a travel b2b
