Also, the team protects the net very well this season. Rebounds are not easily obtainable for the opposition and they clear the net out and protect the goalie well.

How the f are they soft, what are we doing here

The weird thing is the team hasn't been soft this year. We've been physical much more than last year.

I'm sure we got outhit by a ton last night, as we had the puck probably 3 or 4 times as much as they did. Hitting us was the only thing they could do last night.

I don't think anyone wants to hurt Pacioretty too hard. I mean it when I say he's the hockey/athlete equivalent of an old and disabled man at this point. Guy is so rickety at this point that I wouldn't be surprised if we find out that he hurt himself hitting Jack lol.

People want to say the team is soft. Who on the Devils is going to do a simple thing like Benn in this video and retaliate with a huge hit the first chance they can get it ? The only players I can think of are maybe Cotter , Noesen , Haula , Dillon or Kovacevic.

This is exactly how you handle a big hit

Good idea.. Cause you'll most likely prove out to be wrong again like Nemec shit ass play last year. I'm out now.

"He might be the 6th Damn no way he'll be out of the lineup"

Aged well
Are you enjoying a mid day Manhattan or five? This is pretty confrontational compared to your recent posts.

Oh good, we're back on the "too soft" bullshit again. This ain't the 90's people.
Worse than that, it’s “too soft” but doesn’t have to do win winning, hitting, or fighting. It’s a mythical beast that will only rear its head in key moments, particularly moments that haven’t appeared yet.

Disregarding whether or not the team is actually soft or not, one of the things that perpetually amuses me about this is how triggered and soft the alpha "don't be soft" people are when a team isn't clubbing opposing players with their sticks

The loudest are usually the softest/whiniest. The exact opposite of what they preach.

I would love to know what they'd need to do to be "less soft"

they lead the league in fighting majors, IIRC. They are 5th in the league in hits. They play a sound defensive game, allowing the 5th fewest shots per game. What, specifically, would they need to do not be considered "soft"?
