So you're happy with Ray Bennett's 5 on 3 strategy? I see, I see.My only complaint tonight was de Haan, he has to be in the top 5 of useless defensemen in Avs history. He needs to be moved.
Yeah, he's brutal. Any time he goes back for the puck I fear the worst, any time he's in a race I never think he will win, and I never believe he can come out of the corner battle with the puck on his stick. My only complaint tonight was de Haan, he has to be in the top 5 of useless defensemen in Avs history. He needs to be moved.
He should try pointing at players. My only complaint tonight was de Haan, he has to be in the top 5 of useless defensemen in Avs history. He needs to be moved.

I mean I said to Extend Bennett twice
When you say extend, do you mean put him in an Andre The Giant-like stretch???I mean I said to Extend Bennett twice
When Nuke scores the next GWG goal for a series winner. I want bended knees from both of you.
If he disappears in the playoffs I'll gladly do the same.
I take this as a solid avatar bet for both @RoyIsALegend and @dahrougem2
Post playoffs if Nuke scores a series winning goal. I get both your fkn Avatars for the year. If Nuke disappears at any point because of the obvious and doesn't play. You guys get to choose mine for the year.
Sure, bud.
Go to bed and argue with the pillow for getting hot.

I agree.
I'm a bit depressed though. CDH and Kylington were both somewhat promising earlier in their careers. Even Brannstrom had some pedigree coming in. Hell, even I get why we have to take a chance on these types though.... nobody better is willing to take league minimum. But what I'm getting tired of is seeing CMac spending assets every year patching the same holes. His inability to build a bottom six that Bednar can use is a major issue. I'm not sure if this is on CMac or Bednar because I don't know what kind of communication they have, but it appears there is a very big difference in how they believe a bottom six is supposed to play. CMac keeps bringing in crashers, bangers and guys that are good defensively. Bednar keeps trying to use them like his first line and when they don't succeed he just shortens the bench even further rather than working and holding practices trying to get his guys playing better.
If I really wanted to yank some chains, I'd float the idea that Bednar has given up as much on the team as Mikko did. It's not that he can't be better... it's just that it would be too much of an effort to do so. Seriously... who wants to work with a bunch of mucker and grinder players. Oh, yeah... every team that has ever one a Stanley Cup. Why does Bednar forget this? Why so little empahsis on getting the bottom of the lineup playing right?

Lol 29 looks bad.... Has 2 goals and an assist. Not sure what the f*** he's supposed to do.Some thoughts from watching the game from a different angle (corner) than I usually sit in.
CDH being in on a night they honored scratched MacDipshit was so appropriate. My wife said isn't that the guy you always said get to the bench? Yeah we have CDH now to take that role.
Casey would be fine if he just learned when to try to make a play and when to try to protect the puck. He's always trying to make a play which is nuts. Should be pretty simple, you got time and space, make a play. You don't have it, keep the puck however you can. You'd think that would be some easy coaching? Anyways good to see one go into the net but past goals haven't led to a resurgence either. He just needs a better approach and he's plenty good enough to be a 2C especially once he gets a 100% Nuke on his side.
Really like Malinski's development. He's taking much better angles defensively and understanding passing your way out of pressure isn't always the right move. He ate the puck a few times under pressure and it really points to defensive improvement.
Sammy G is incredible. I mean you just gotta key in watching him for a little bit and see no one figures out how to defend and stop danger better than him. That contract is such gold, they don't really need points out of him, they just need the second pairing to keep them out of the net and he's just so good at doing that.
Blackwood doesnt give off the vibe of a shutdown goalie but man how many times did I think 4giev gives one up there? I know they can't overwork him but I really don't care to see Wedgie get many more reps. Shame he didn't get a shutout but leaving Hughes open in the slot will do that to you.
Lastly, Nate Dogg looked tired and a half step slow tonight. Did 4 Nations take something out of him? He didn't even look that fired up scoring those goals. The first was kinda lucky, the second was good skill but again right place right time. Not sure if it's adjusting to Necas but he doesn't look as dominant right now. We know he has more gears to hit when needed, maybe this is sort of midseason doldrums.
I agree.
