If Wood was about 7% slower he'd be just another 4th line call up that no one would talk about.
He has speed and size and very little else.

But size and speed is the magic formula for unlimited potential apparently. Doesn't matter if you barely even seem to know you have team mates on the ice or have the ability to pass to them.

I would prob venture to say I’m 75 percent confident that Hall will be extended by September

But he isnt and in today's league speed matters. I'm not saying he is some generational talent, but he sure as hell is better than Joey Anderson who is somehow Ryan Callahan because he scored 6 goals last year but oozes character.

Anderson is the most overrated prospect we have currently.

I think Anderson is great - as a reliable RW4. He can lock down that position for us. Anything more is a bonus.

ANDERSON hasn’t shown much yet asa pro but he looked much more skilled as an NCAA player. He showed vision and passing touch in games I watched him. Not sure why we haven’t seen that yet but he is young so hopefully it appears this year.

It's hard to judge young players in seasons where three or four of the best players on the team are gone for the majority of the season and most nights the squad is getting roasted. It's just funny to me how people have such definitive opinions about Anderson, Bastian, McLeod, etc. when they pretty much came up in a worst case scenario for both team and prospect.

The same people on Coleman's jock were calling him a nothing player in his first call up.

That clearly says Player Progress.

Also the blue folder does clearly say Taylor Hall. That is pretty clear however you can see Ray looking like he's smirking there in that photo.

Team friendly contract imminent?

More 5v5 primary assists then Nico Zajac Palms and Coleman. But sure let's keep the narrative going.

Zacha's 'defense' is being seriously overrated here - he is quite good on the PK, I'm not sure he's a shot suppressor at even strength, and I'm also not convinced that his decent results at the end of this season aren't a mirage.
I think his inability to control play offensively has, to some extent, dragged down his defensive statistics.

I think you may be right that he is overrated a bit defensively, but I do think he has been, at least, very solid in that regard.

Is Gardiner the kind of player you trade current players to fit in?
When you need someone that can play the top pair on the left side? Absolutely. He gets a bad rap but he's far better than everyone here gives him credit for. If he was on the Devils, he'd be thought of much, much differently. I mean, we blindly defend Miles Wood and Blake Coleman here so I think we can make room for Gardiner in that regard.
