Always interested to see if one of the invites impresses enough to earn a contract, especially this year when a lot of these kids didn't really get a chance to play in front of scouts.

A couple of those D-men have great size @ 6'3" and 6'4", respectively. Both are left-shooters, too.

Byfield skated off 6 min in… :(

Turcotte looks good.

Pinelli is a keeper. Kid has some slick hands and great shot. This kid is like Kaliyev and the sleeper pick / steal of the draft.

On the D side Clarke already looks and acts like a leader on the ice. Head and shoulders above the rest already. Really impressed by this kid.

byfield injury is a bit of a kick in the balls amongst the other good news

Clarke should be better than the other dmen there. A couple late round picks and undrafted invitees. But, I'm glad to hear it.

are you going everyday?

I couldn't find confirmation of what the issue was anywhere?

Would be LA typical though

Turcotte goes nuclear, Byfield gets hurt

Not sure I get what you mean....

I am not surprised to hear the high praise for Turcotte -- the dude was a #5 overall pick, he SHOULD be impressive.

Maybe you didn't notice but there is a sizeable audience here that's much less than impressed with Turcotte. Regardless, it's nice to see he came out gangbusters.

I'm just saying it would be so LA typical for one prospect to rise and another just have dumb outside shit happen, like Kupari's ACL the previous year. Byfield coming to camp a little beat up already is like come on hockey gods. And apparently Kaliyev's 40th birthday has him missing camp too and it's just like :dunno: how much more penance must we serve to shake off the blessings of 2012-2014

I hear ya, and yah I never understood the lack of love for Turcotte. After watching him the WJC earlier this year, I was sold.

Turcotte looks like he needs to put on some weight before he’s ready for a regular nhl shift.
