Interesting.... value seems ok to me.... but would Detroit be interested in tying up a 2nd retention slot on Ned when they're still retaining on Panik next year?

No thanks, Don't see Yzerman giving up this soon on Ned, I guess Binnington is on the block. So unless GMDA is willing to move him for cheap and Yzerman has interest. Would rather just hold onto him.

Detroit shouldn't give up on Ned yet. He went from playing behind the worst defense in the NHL to a team defense that would be bad in the AHL.

I think we’re beyond the point where Detroit is gonna trade non-UFA rentals for packages, prospects, or picks.

If Detroit is trading anything they have that is of any value, it’s going to be as a package for something bigger, or a big name prospect.

Nedeljovic@(50%)( 1.5, this year and next)
Leddy@(50)(2.75, UFA)

For

Dadonov
Brisson
Demek
Vegas 2022 2nd
That’s a dent for Vegas to give up Brisson but it does fix some issues for them. The biggest one is getting rid of that contract. Obviously Detroit would have no goaltender signed for next season but they could fix that if they had to.

Still don’t think I’d do it as Vegas because of Brisson, or Detroit because of the goaltender.

More reasonable to me would be

Greiss and Leddy
for
2 2nd rounders.

Greiss can help stabilize things in net for now. It also doesn’t add money for next year. If they can get Detroit to take Dadonov, take one of those 2nd rounders away and replace it with a 1st. Obviously Detroit would also retain some cash.

Leddy and Greiss
for
Dadonov, 1st and 2nd

I’d do the 1st before I’d trade Brisson at this point. They need the bodies right now in their prospect pool. In fact, if I were them, I’d try working on getting McBain’s rights from the Wild to bring another solid prospect into the mix.

Unless they’ve completely soured on Brisson, you need to hold onto him. And if you have soured on him, chances are Detroit has too since he plays for one of the most scouted teams not in the NHL, right in Detroit’s backyard.
