ThisMaatta I think they wanna keep, but i'd guess a 2nd.
Erne a 3rd or a 4th.
Sundqvist I think they keep him but if traded a 2nd.
Suter for a 3rd.
Bertuzzi might, No way is Larkin getting traded. Once again Yzrman has said that he has to June 30th to re-sign him.Don't forget 2 unsigned pieces in Larkin and Bertuzzi
I’d hate to see Detroit let Larkin go. That would be a bad look IMO. He’s a drafted player. Localish guy. In his prime. The captain. You gotta resign that guy for 7 or 8 years. Let him play out his best career years with the red wings.Don't forget 2 unsigned pieces in Larkin and Bertuzzi
I think Detroit would take all that in a heartbeat and try to utilize them to get another 1st.Maatta I think they wanna keep, but i'd guess a 2nd.

Sundqvist I think they keep him but if traded a 2nd.

Detroit has 3+ prospects for LD next year.I think the Jets could reasonably offer a 2023 3rd and Declan Chisholm for Sundqvist. Chisholm is buried behind a lot of LD here, but he's an AHL all-star because there's some skill to his game. If Ville Heinola is to be given a roster spot next year, I'd say that all but guarantees Chisholm doesn't have the room to crack the Jets lineup. Detroit seems rather uncertain at LD for next year, and he had a pretty good game in Detroit last year for the Jets, maybe caught some attention.
Sundqvist would address probably the weakest position in terms of depth on the Jets. Mason Appleton has been out since November and hard to say how healthy he will be coming back, seems like a pretty serious freak injury. Jets have been plugging away to replace him, but I feel like that's a position where the Jets would like to shore up. Be an upgrade over Kuhlman, and quite possibly an upgrade on Appleton.
i realize this is a very doubtful trade , but maybe copp signs off on it to go play for a cup . and maybe nyr interested as copp did good for them last season so might be a good fit :
copp retained down to 4 mil per , and if nyr want one of detroits depth guys like mentioned by op . for a short term bad contract , and one of rangers 2023 1st ?
my outlook is if can get the future asset without care of this seasons results as ide prefer one more early first any way before we move up in standings next season . then go after ror as ufa in summer to replace copp and become another excellent mentor / leaderCopp gets alot of grief on the Wings board but he isn't going anywhere. We lack depth in the middle and cant afford to lose Copp. Long term he is our #3 ,but until we develop or acquire someone else.. it is what it is. He isnt untouchable but it would take more of an over payment which no one is going to feel comfortable with.
Id imagine asking price for Bert is high and id imagine Larkin is astronomical, I think Steve tries to sign him in the off season.

yes i also dont see it happening but its what i want to happen as not a fan of this signing . only way is if both copp n yzerman dont like the fit , then nyr and copp both want to reuniteIm not saying its a bad option, I just dont see it happening. 1st year of a 5 year deal and Yzerman and Lalonde likely want to continue pushing for results now.

Whats Maatta cap hit ?
What would you want from the Oilers. Keep in mind we have to send a contract back. Puljujarvi + ?I think Copp is fine, he is not lighting the world on fire but he is also more of a stop gap #2, If we address our center depth this off season we will be very lucky to have him as a #3 for the next 4 years.
2.25 for 1 year.

Yes please.Wings wouldn't move Copp for Puljujarvi. Maybe Zadina and him could swap, that's more likely.
After seeing Maatta and Suter on the Hawks, no way would I any team trade 2nd and 3rd respectively for them. Kind of over valuing both players here.Maatta I think they wanna keep, but i'd guess a 2nd.
Erne a 3rd or a 4th.

Suter for a 3rd.
He's better on the PK than 5on5, he's the 2nd wave of forwards on the kill. I think for whatever reason he's more focused, but that's true for quite a bit of the team. How is Erne's defensive game these days? I think TB will be in the market for a defensive winger. I know Erne isn't known for that, but usually Yzerman guys wind up pretty responsible if they're gonna stick around.
