I'm not going to be around for the second half of the game tonight, so I thought I would get this one up sooner rather than later.

The last time the Kings played in Detroit on Halloween night. 17 years ago, the Kings won 5-1 over the defending champion Red Wings, Yanic Perreault had the hat trick.

I wonder if guys like Richards, Brown, Williams, and Stoll will decide to show up tomorrow.

Those are all like 40-50 point players, In Stoll's case 25-35, they are going to have stretches of ZERO production.

Lengthy one's, Kings fan's should be use to this by now.

Problem is, those guys combine for $18.525 million in cap space. Their salaries indicate that they're integral parts on this roster. They have to do more than just watch the Carter line do all the work offensively.

They are not being paid that cap hit for 10 games or 20 games or 30 games.

82 games.

Over 82 I would assume they all, will be around career norms. In those 82 games, there will be stretches of lazy play, not showing up ETC.

That 70's line last two games hasn't looked all that great either. Toffoli was pretty much the entire offense against, Philly.

Doughty looks like garbage, but I expect that, guy doesn't care about these games. Also playing big minutes.

Anyone that thought the playoff Kings, were going to show up for the regular season.......You know better.

Could you imagine if Quick, Carter, Pearson, and Toffoli weren't playing well? This team would be a nightmare.

I don't know what career norms are for some of these guys anymore. The career average for Richards is 58 points over 82 games. With the Kings, 46 over 82. However, the Kings PP isn't good, and Richards is the 4th line center most nights. I'm not sure he cracks 40 this year. 30 might be a stretch.

If the Kings ultimately win though, none of it matters.
