Both guys are sort of having a hard time in their respective systems, and maybe both could use a change of scenery. Not sure if the value is far off, but wondering if it could be a 1-for-1 hockey trade instead of part of a package from either team to someone else. Thoughts?

Wahlstrom is doing just fine.

Oliver Wahlstrom seems to be playing good for the Islanders and is 4th on the team in points and tied for 3rd in goals as the youngest player (21) on the NYI active roster.

Oliver has also played in 36 of the Islanders 39 games mostly with limited minutes from the 3rd line which actually is quite impressive for a 21 year old player that’s only going to get better.

Filip Zadina has been having trouble finding the net with goals lately with a lone goal since November but still has 14 points to his stats.

Zadina had been giving a little more responsibility in the defensive end so his numbers may not look as good as they should but Zadina has also struggled lately and had been demoted to the 3rd line before the all-star break. Hopefully Filip can turn things around during the 2nd half of the season and start potting more goals.

As for this proposal I’d favor Wahlstrom over Zadina at this time.
