MTL trades - Nathan Beaulieu

Why? Cap hits are close. DET has been rumored to be looking for D help by shedding a forward. MTL has been rumored to be interested in other D, while also wanting potential top 6 help. Athanasiou isn't a definite top 6 solution, but lots of potential. Thoughts?

As a habs fan, they only way i trade Beaulieu to detroit is for Mantha.

I pass from Detroit's perspective. I like Beaulieu, but we have too many young defenseman that are out of waiver options. I'd also absolutely hate playing AA so many times a year.

Detroit is high on AA, and should be.

Montreal might have interest in other D, but a one for one swap won't create the cap space needed to make it happen.

As a Wings fan, if Beaulieu has value, then Jurco is probably not an even swap for him.

Funny how both fan bases are saying no. As a Wings fan, this is a definite no. I'm very high on AA. I like him more than Mantha.

Horrible trade for habs pov. They already have Lehkonen, Hudon, McC, Ghetto and so on NHL ready. Is AA any better than them? I doubt it.
