Wouldn't object to Compher or Copp being moved, but Becher definitely ain't getting called up right now.Hopefully this means that there's about to be some players moved and we need a warm body

Somebody help me out with him. Because everybody raved about his two way play but an ELC with his production in Grand Rapids seems weird.
He was on an amateur tryout, and was 6 games away from hitting the 25 game limit. And he is already 20, so he can't go back to the WHL where he played last year. So, they had to sign him to some sort of contract, or find somewhere else for him to play. I guess they could have signed him to a straight AHL deal, but an ELC serves essentially the same purpose. It's not likely he's going to be making much more than ELC money if he ever makes the show anyway, so what's the big deal?
He was injured in the off-season as well and missed all the training/conditioning so he’s basically trying to get up the speed during the year. I wouldn’t worry too much about his production so far. The Wings were probably waiting to see how he recovered from the injury before deciding whether to give him an ELC or just an AHL deal. There really isn't a big deal at all, was just curious as to the timing and wasn't aware of those details.
