Plain and simple

Try Yakupov on the first line for 10 games

St-Louis fans : Is Desharnais a good fit?

Radulov - Galchenyuk - Yakupov
Byron - Plekanec - Gallagher
Pacioretty - Danault - Shaw
Carr - Mitchell - Flynn

Schwartz - Statsny - Terasenko
Fabbri - Lehtera - Steen
Perron - Desharnais - Berglund
Upshall - Brodziak - Jaskin

I can see Desharnais and Perron developping a chemistry together.

Wow what a horrible trade for STL.

No idea why you think that is horrible for STL. They have good wingers already, Yak has been scratched 3 of the last 10 games. And when he has played hasn't contributed a damn thing even though he's played with Statsny. A lateral move? Maybe. A horrible trade? No. STL has no need to keep Yakupov.

It doesnt matter how Yak fits with the Blues. They can get a lot more than DD, who the habs should be paying picks for a team to pick him up. This trade obv benefits the Habs and does nothing for the Blues.

Wasn't Yakupov just traded for essentially nothing? MTL couldn't muster up nothing two months ago but needs him now?

no we really don't need or want him

the team is just better when DD doesn't play so everyone's trying to ship him out

at this point, he probably would clear waivers, wich would be a good thing having him help young guys in the AHL is probably the only thing he would be good at

NO.First he gets drafted by the Oilers and the Oilers are a bad team.
The Blues during that time are pretty good.
He gets traded to the Blues. The Oilers become pretty good and the Blues now stink with the addition of Yak. This guy is just bad luck to what ever team he moves to.

The real answer is "no".

However, iif it happened I would be happy from the POV of getting Yakupov's value right a couple of years ago...lol

Yakupov is looking like the biggest 1st overall bust to ever be picked...

Not seeing how it benefits the habs in any way, shape or form with habs retaining. They get a guy who is just as useless and lose cap space.
