I don’t think they were doing it just because we have too much depth.
If we ever get everyone back to health we have to lose someone off the roster for cap reasons.
The team needs to know what people would offer for the 7th D or 13th forward because we can’t keep both of them.
Even if we are just moving them to bring in a cheaper version of them.

He's been showcased for some time now. If the Leafs are trading him another scout/gm should know what they are getting.

When you ignore a big young defenseman making his debut it’s definitely a good sign.
