Brass was 7 of 13 on FO's, a much better showing on a career game. We need him to be "at least" this succesful, and he should have a better shot at such playing at home next game.

Lots of people eating crow. Man the hate when Brassard signed that great contract was funny.

Yes, lots of people here and elsewhere that said he was a third liner worth like $3M. And even into the season, people including him in proposals because Hayes apparently made him expendable.

I think his mindset and attitude in Game 6 was all business, all about results.
To put it another way, he didn't **** around and stayed out of the box and hunted pucks.

If he came in and put up 45~ points making that much money while Zuke was unsigned, it would've been pretty bad.

Good on Brass for taking the next step and really earning that money.

I had some time at work this morning and reread most of that thread. I had a lot of laughs.

Calling him a 3C ... not a playoff performer ... hasn't put up 50 points

The reasonable posters mostly said, "it's the going rate."

Comedy gold.

A lot of great posters were wrong in that thread. Ola was even wrong, hahahah I just wanted to point that out, because he's almost always right.

Obviously the going rate. I think people saw $5M and lost their ****. If he made $4.9M I honestly don't think he would have gotten the hate he did in that thread.

Brass was known as a playoff performer before Game 6, but that game really solidified it. If he could come up big in G7 and the SCF, he would become a legendary Ranger. If we win the Cup this year, his hat trick will be replayed on MSG for the next 20-25 years literally dozens of times every year. If we don't win the Cup, nobody will remember it.

Guy was 57% CF against Crosby and 55% CF against Stamkos and nearly PPG in the playoffs....WHILE INJURED.

Next time I hear the Rangers don't have a "legit 1C" I'm gonna hit the ****ing roof.

Brassard @ 5m per >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ROR @ 7.5 per

Jesus christ that's a terrible contract for ROR and it sets a bad bargaining precedent for other young centers in the league (from a cap perspective).

Yeah, if Brass plays like he did last season for the duration of the contract it's gonna be one of the best contracts in the game.

Brassard with another solid start pivoting our top line. Definitely living up to his contract.

To add on to that he has been excellent on faceoffs so far this season. 55.6%; just a hair better than Stoll who is at 55.3%. I'm not expecting him to keep that up, as he's been typically in the 45-48% range for his career.

Love the Brass.

Brass and Zuke quickly becoming my two fav Rangers. Fun to watch and bring lots of passion to the game. Brass was great in playoffs just imagine if he had his best buddy for entire playoffs

Brassard is bae.

Still can't believe the **** he played through in the playoffs and still put up a dominant performance.
