This guy sucks. No wonder Islander fans said he wouldn't be among their top 4 centers. F'ing minor leaguer. Five points, that's it tonight. There are games when 2, maybe even 3 Knicks score more than 5 points in a game.
Cupcake player. Fans of the November Cup champions really know hockey.

funny thing is...he really should have had 5 goals today.

Millers goal came after he was ROBBED by Bishop...and then he was robbed by Vasilelvski like a min into his game.

imagine a 5 goal game in th eplayoffs? sheesh.

Getzlaf, Kucherov, Stamkos, Johnson and Perry - only players with more points than Brass this postseason.

He's beginning to become a BrassGod (BrassGod) all the Rangers fans on the board make their head nod ( head nod) .... Brassard with a legendary game 6 performance. Credit to Nash and Miller and Yandle and Hank with great games.

Messier-like performance. Really brought it tonight....Nash, Miller, and Brass played very well as a unit tonight.

I hope they keep it up, and I hope Kreider-Step-Fast kick in a few as well. Played pretty well defensively.

Do you believe it! Do YOU believe it!

He did not say we will game 6 and he just picked up the hat-trick!

Watching NHL Tonight as I type this.

NHL Leaders in Points in Elimination Games Since 2012:
Brassard, 18
Kopitar/Justin Williams, 14
Stepan, 13

Other than the guarantee, this was a bigger Game 6 ECF performance than Messier's 21 years ago. Both had a hat trick, but Brass had more assists, better +/- and more shots. To be fair it was easier for Brass: he's God while Messier was only a Messiah.

Nikita Kucherov with a pass. Hagelin swoops in to intercept. Hagelin behind the net. He shoots, he scores. Hagelin, Hagelin, Hagelin, Caaarl Hagelin! And the Rangers have one more Disneyland roller coaster to ride. It's Mount Hollywood! They are headed to the Finals!

I love Brass and Brass loves NYR. Really turned his career around here and has since he arrived been one of our leading forwards. 5 points in an elimination game, that's the stuff of legends!

To be fair, it would be more telling to see the PPG in elimination games.

But man what a game by Brassard last night, would keep him over Stepan any day in the week. With the rise of Hayes and the improvement by Brassard we're really set at C. We don't have a elite 1C, but we got two 1C's and hopefully a third emerging in Hayes.

IDK if he "turned his career around" here. He was a fine player in Columbus. He's definitely elevated his game since coming here, though. This season in particular.

Let's not get carried away. Until last night, Stepan had more points than Brass. Stepan had more points per game during the regular season. He faces the tougher matchups and is significantly better defensively than Brass. He's also 3 years younger and right handed.

Brassard has scored more in the playoffs (40-32 since becoming a Ranger), but that's the only thing he has on Stepan. In the last 2 regular seasons, Stepan has outscored Brass 112-105 while playing 11 less games.

Thankfully, we don't have to choose between them. Stepan will get his contract and they'll both be here for a long time.

I wouldn't say Stepan faces tougher competition than Brassard, at least not defensively.

Whoever is paired with Nash gets the other team's 1st pairing.

This is a fun stat. Since they started tracking ice time, no player has put up 5 points in less than 17 minutes of ice time in a playoff game.

Stepan faces more difficult offensive competition. In other words, the opponents he faces means he spends more time in the defensive zone.

This. He could've had 5 easily.

That was an EPIC performance. Historic Performance.

I can't begin to explain the love I have for him right now (as a heterosexual male  ) and for the NY POST cover :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

You're not the only one. I've had a huge man-crush on him ever since joining the Rangers and it's at an all-time high now
