Land of no calls..
So tomorrow signing bonuses are paid out. Derick Brassard is owed $2M in his bonus, which means that he carries a cap hit of $5M for the next three years, but is only paid $10M in actual dollars over that time. With Stamkos off the market, could there be more teams interested in Brassard? Scored a career high 27 goals last year with 60 and 58 point seasons over the last two years respectively. He has an 8-team no-trade list.

So, what's his value?

I think it is more likely the Rangers would move Stepan over Brassard, but could see at least one on the block for sure.

Seemed to play well for Bill Peters at the World Championship and the Canes are looking for another top-6 forward.

Stepan has more value in a trade, but he also has more value to the Rangers. If one of them is traded, I would prefer it be Brass.
