That being said, I will probably give it a shot.

Will it be called, Chicago Departed? It should since we have Chicago PD, Chicago FD, Chicago Med, and Chicago Law.

It's only loosely based on the Departed. I think they're probably announcing it like that for the publicity and goodwill toward that film and the production rights kinda make them do it.

I'll give it a shot but if it ain't based in Boston, and ain't dealing with Irish gangs, I'm not gonna give it too many strikes.

The recent trend of turning some great movies into mediocre television series is rather disappointing. I hope this will be decent but I am not holding my breath.

I'd be far more concerned if it was on one of the big 4 networks. At least Amazon has got a few decent shows under their belt recently.
