A sticktap to Club de hockey Canadien for the tribute on January 19th

As a member of the NWHL Boston Pride, Denna Laing was one of the pioneers participating in a breakthrough moment for her sport – the Outdoor Women’s Classic. Tragically, Denna suffered a severe injury playing the sport she loves.

The National Hockey League, Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens and the National Hockey League Players' Association are working together to help raise money for Denna's recovery and rehabilitation. On Tuesday, January 19, when the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens play for the first time since the 2016 NHL Winter Classic, the game-worn jerseys are being autographed by each player immediately after the game and are being auctioned off benefiting Denna Laing. 100% of auction proceeds from this auction will go to help defray expenses related to Denna Laing's recovery and rehabilitation.

Purchases of auctioned jerseys in connection with this benefit auction are not eligible for a charitable deduction. Please consult your tax advisor regarding tax consequences associated with any such purchase.

Auction beings at 7:05 PM EST on Tuesday, January 19 2016 and will begin closing at 9:00 PM EST on Thursday, February 11, 2016

Impressed that people are bidding on these jerseys so rapidly - definitely a worthwhile cause. In fact, thinking about it, I wonder if the auction was part of the reason Krejci travelled with the team and Pasta slotted in for 7 minutes even if Pasta wasn't at 100%. Not sure if you can get a "game issued" jersey if you're not at the game, so they got one for Krejci - and, at over $1500, it's one of the highest bids, despite not being game worn. (I have no idea if that makes it significantly less valuable for collectors, but I imagine a Krejci would be more recognizable than a Kemppanien jersey.)

Props on the Bell Centre for the pregame video. I didn't cry during it - YOU cried during it.

And if there are any Habs fans out there who have the money, please bid - Denna's part of the hockey family. Plus, you know what Habs game-worn jersey is currently the cheapest, excluding Scrivens (backup goalie who didn't touch ice after warmups)? Barberio, the guy who scored the goal...and his first goal of the year, to boot. There's gotta be some Barberio fans out there in Habland, no?

Definitely putting in for the Bergy suite raffle and some hats for the fam. Sadly, those jerseys are a tad out of the price range.

FMC Ice Sports, the company that operates 24 ice skating rinks across the state, is holding a fund-raiser on Sunday, Feb. 14, to benefit Denna Laing, the Boston Pride player who suffered a serious spinal cord injury during a Dec. 31 ice hockey game at Gillette Stadium.

In an effort to raise $10,000 for the Denna Laing Fund, FMC declared Feb. 14 as “Denna Laing Day†and pledged to donate $1 from every public skating admission and match any additional donations made at its rinks that day.
