If they play like this then your fine.This team is a mess,is it ok to fire coach now?He is playing them liiga style and you just cant do that in these games.And Petteri ******* Sihvonen wanted them to slow pace?Havent seen finnish team playing this slow in ages.
 
Give Ahokas a chance to coach in A division next year at least.

"The two last-placed teams play a best-of-three Relegation Round series. The third game is only played if needed. The winner of the series plays again at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship, while loser is relegated to Division I Group A."

As long as Veini isn't in goal we have a chance to beat Latvia in a BO3 I guess...

Looking at this game right now I wouldn't bet on that.

I just can't believe how bad they look offensively, it's embarrassing.
Clueless coach who keeps lines together that have zero chemistry, goaltending has killed some confidence from the players, that's pretty clear to see and the shots, they are so weak.
Where is the Tolvanen with his elite shot?

Tolvanen hasn't shown why he's been so hyped at all. Guy looks lazy, like he doesn't care. Doing pirouettes out on the perimeter.
 
It is time for the finns (coaches) to have a look at NHL. The game is different from FEL. The youngsters are playing FEL-hockey. The young guys are playing too scary and defensive game with too little pressure. The amount of pressure combined with few shots is scary.
 
RIP Finland. Our system and coach are jokes. We should just leave Rautakorpi to Canada so he might learn how to coach.

Yeah. I think you kinda nailed it.

Not a great fan of Rautakorpi coaching junior teams. This guy really needs a team with his own set of vets to grind a long season in order to be successful. His system is too static and has lots of elements that require more training together. He's not a junior coach. No quick reacting in a short tournament. No line changes. Nothing. We need some continuity among the main group (EHHUMM, AHOKAS AS THE COACH IN THIS TOURNAMENT MAYBE... ?) so that the system won't change too much. Rautakorpi just doesn't fit the mold of our recent success and where it came from. Those golds were mainly founded on rocking a simple system and letting the top guys do their thing.

I actually like Rautakorpi as a coach but there are absolutely no traits in his resume that signify potential success as a U20/18 coach.

Definitely can't say anything positive about his game right now. Nowhere near Pulju/Laine level from 2016 draft.
Prefer Vesalainen of the 2 easily currently.
 
Is this Denmark's backup playing? Different goalie than yesterday did they decide to start their backup yesterday knowing they had no chance or today and found lightning in a bottle?
 
Juolevi needs to step up here. He's supposed to be a big game player and their best player.
 
Selanne needs to teach these kids how to score.

He could play a open net for one of our forward and he would miss that net.
