Button is right, these players have been really successful at the U17s and U18s even after Laine, Puljujarvi, Aho. They had players like Juolevi, Heiskanen, Valimaki, Tolvanen, Saarijarvi, Vesalainen, Rasanen. They have the talent, they just aren't gelling together well enough and playing smoothly with speed. Seems like they are hesitating a lot.

Reminds me of the Canadian team of last year. Many got gold and stuff at the U17s and U18s with plenty of talent but just aren't gelling and have no chemistry.

I just hope we stay in A division now so we get our U18 gold coach Jussi Ahokas next year to coach in U20 A.

When your goalie sucks as bad as Finlands the whole team plays so tentative because they are afraid every shot is going to go in.

:shakehead

I think so too. A goalie change and some yelling from the coach during the period break could do wonders here.

Still 2 periods left.

Now Coach needs to use few power words in a locker room. Loudly. This is just that situation where soft cuddle won't help, no matter how boys those guys still are.

On the other hand, reality check wouldn't hurt either for dispelling most destructive hubris around our National Hockey programs. In longer terms.

Come on guys!

Heiskanen made a bad pass on the second goal. He doesn't seem like a clear-cut first rounder to me.

One pass doesn't define a player. Heiskanen is really good and played well in the last game against the czechs. Not only is he a legit 1st rounder, he's a top15 maybe top10 guy in my book.

Oh come one, you can still come back, it's just one period. And there's almost zero chance Finland gets relegated.

Have you seen our offense?

Zero chemistry on any of the lines, Nattinen is getting played like a #1C out there.

I blame the Finnish Ice Hockey Federation, this is what happens when you hire an old timer coach, whose best before date has passed years ago.

I think Rautakorpi is a good coach but as with Jortikka, their style of play does not fit junior hockey. Especially with Rautakorpi.

He's also one of the youngest prospects in this years draft.

These 40mins are going to be painfull to watch.

Laines shot spoiled us.

We've heard so much about Tolvanens shot but the guy refuses to shoot.
Nattinen missing 1/2 open net, Saarela with a awfull shot attempt.

Danes need more offensive pressure. They can't absorb 2 full periods of attack

Cant keep finland from scoring forever so 1 or two more is needed. We need to take this at least to ot..we need the points

I feel like only the top 3 should advance. These games don't really mean anything.

Here's Finland, down again, and if they lose again, you know they're probably still going through.

Borgström is even worse, so who's supposed to be the #1C?

I'd rather bet on him that Nattinen, atleast his unit looked good on pp.
But we definitely need to develop a new high end C.
