Finland was slaughtered in comments, but the Czech game wasn't that bad in tape delay, as I expected from comments.
Now we outshot Denmark 36-10 and some say they weren't as bad as the reuslt.
I just feel there is some chance involved, but of course it's not good to lose two games.
They can still beat Sweden.
With Urama and Rautakorpi as our coaches... Im actually quite doubtful about that.Ahhhh, reminds of the Jets board.
Poor Finns are missing Laine Pulj Aho. That line instantly makes them a medal contender
Barkov got drafted 2nd after a bad tournament. Scouts don't put too much weight on these short tourneys, where the draft eligible players are 1 or 2 years underaged. Though with dominating performances (like Laine last year), the players can definitely rise. Most finns have lost market value. I bet we wont see a single finn drafted in the first round 2017.
Assuming Swiss beat Danes, and I'm confident they will...Finns will, in all probability, need to beat Swiss in regulation and at least take Sweden to OT to make QF's... a tall order, based on what we've seen from Suomi thus far...
My crystal ball says the defending gold medal champs will be playing in the relegation round...

Lol, every knowledgeable person predicted a tough tournament for Finns. I even predicted they would be a total disgrace to the hockey world. If anything, they have been a positive surprise, outshooting the opponents so far. Let's see if they pull an upset on sweden or the swiss, I'm convinced they have it in them to win one with the right amount of puck luck. And no, Pulju-Aho-Laine wouldn't have made a difference, other than avoiding the relegation. Finnish hockey is at it's low point, and there's no better tomorrow.
I mean, with Barkov, Rantanen, Pulju, Laine, Aho, Kapanen, Saros, Teravainen, Ristolainen, Vatanen, Lehkonen and Honka, i'd say there's a better tomorrow....but we are going to miss a few generations. Again.

If I'm not mistaken Czechs outshot Finns? As for being a positive surprise? Damn right...

For someone that remember the years before these listed players, this year's Finnish squad has enough depth to crank out good players eventually. Previously when failing that wasn't the case, those teams were shallow in a different way, they couldn't overcome the lack of skill and depth to place higher. This team looks to be failing mostly because it's not playing how it's supposed to play. A pretty significant difference going forward, if you were ever going to use the WJC as a measurement(I would, but not as the be all and end all).

What?????????????????????????????????????? This is got to be irony, please god.
