At the very least Finland should be able to beat Latvia.
Haha thanks for a good laugh.yeah, **** the babys we keep water and turn it to vodka
I'm not sure about that. This is totally humiliating that some Denmark comes and takes win for us. Pate and the other guys shame eyes of their head if they watch how bad this team plays.
Some of the players are still good players with strong futures. No need to throw out the baby with the bath water.
Did not expect to wake up to this holy moly, was the shots really 36-10? :O
Ahhhh, reminds of the Jets board.
Poor Finns are missing Laine Pulj Aho. That line instantly makes them a medal contender
I'm genuinely worried that we might get relegated. This just awful to watch in so many levels..
Rather unlikely. Anyway, for us success in this championship is a nice bonus but what really matters is that do we produce, say 3-6 very talented and promising players in each age group, and I think we have easily that many in this year's team too. Of course last year was bit of an exception with such stellar offensive talent that we simply won't have most years.
Of course, now this team is in big difficulties, but it must be mostly coaching related - there is no way that they are as bad as these results show.
But seriously how can a team with 5 potential first rounders suck so much? It can't be all on the coach.. Maybe the players just aren't as good as the hype.
I'm not sure if Finland is going to make the quarter finals. At the very least Finland should be able to beat Latvia.
For the most part it's a 19 year olds(and to some extent 18 year old) tournament. Late 1st round 1st time draft eligible guys don't dominate or even tend to do all that well. Draft eligible defenceman would have less of a noticeable impact I would think.
You'll see the Matthews, Laine, Puljujarvi, Nylander guys dominate, and I'm surprised Tolvanen hasn't done better. But it's not all that surprising 17 year olds aren't dominating or doing well.
If those same 5 guys are back in 2 years time(not sure if there are any late birthdays) then they'll be doing much better and Finland could win the thing again.
I'm not sure if Finland is going to make the quarter finals.
Too tired to think right now. What will have to go wrong from here on for Finland to miss the quarter final?
They need more than just a win against the Swiss to get to the QF now. If they can't get any points from Sweden and Switzerland beats Denmark(or Sweden) then Finland is playing in the relegation side whether they beat Switzerland or not.
Expect him to be playing for Vancouver next year.If Finland hadn't won 2 gold medals in the past 3 years I would've been more upset.
How does next years squad look in comparison? and is Juolevi eligible for it? will Aaltonen play?
