What is the deal with our defense coaches?

Ruff was usually a head coach, why do they think he is an effective Defense coach? And why didn't they let Quinn pick his own guy?

Prior to that Beukeboom very inexperienced why do they think he is an effective Defense coach? And why didn't they let AV pick his own guy?

Prior to that Samuelsson very little prior success in terms of coaching why do they think he is an effective Defense coach? And why didn't they let AV pick his own guy?

Prior to that we had Tort with just Sullivan without a 3rd coach to focus on defense, why did they think it was a good idea to not have an assistant coach focused on defense?

Prior to that who was running the defense? Pelino? Why him? What credentials did he have?

This team goes through coaches like Law & Order SVU goes through hot assistant prosecutors. How many coaches do we have to push off a cliff before we start holding players accountable for actually knowing how to be defensively responsible?

Team was not rebuilding when Ruff was hired.

no the question is why they take this position so lightly and force hire a bunch of ex rangers into that position instead of finding the best of the best for such an important position.
