Maybe Dean can convince Hextall to make some trades with us for his beloved ones lol. But seriously Dean is a great mind and I have no doubt he will help Hexy build a winner there. They have amazing pieces both on the team already and prospects and can make right trades and add pieces to the puzzle. They will be a threat sooner rather than later.

Good Luck Deano ! Thank You for everything you've done for us. I was sad to see him go because if only he realized he has to evolve and adapt to continue success he is one of the best GMs.

Hextall said at the Flyers game this afternoon that Lombardi will work in the front office and doesn't have a job title or specific duties yet. He said DL is a smart guy and he learned a lot working for him in LA. He said it will be great to have Lombardi around to 'run things by' and that Lombardi would be working on projects.

That Bob Clarke and Paul Holmgren and Ed Snider mismanaged things badly for far too many years is true

But that doesn't apply anymore. Hextall has done a very good job in building what was a barren wasteland of a farm system into the top farm system in the NHL.

They might have problems, all teams do, but the are not a 'putrid disaster', not even close.
 
Hextall is a badass and him and Lombardi together is a good thing, I'm glad it's far far away. Flyers aren't too far from where we were when DL came aboard and have the advantage of already having Hextall and systems in place.

The Flyers don't deserve Dean. Only the Kings do.

Where's that Sol dude at? For a while he was on the nutsack of dissing DL every chance he could get. There was someone else, too. But I've killed too many brain cells and can't remember. He'll show his sloppy ass face and I'll remember.
