Sabres and Canucks fan coming in piece but the question I have is for the Sabres. We just hired two former assistant coaches out of your organization . One Davis Payne who was most recently fired as an assistant coach , and Chris Hajt who was the one and only assistant coach for your AHL affiliate the last 3 years.

What can you fans tell us Sabre fans about them ? What position did they mainly look after ? What was there area of expertise ? There Responsibilities etc. I've heard Payne being praised for his work with the special teams but what special teams did he exactly work with ( PP, PM??), What about Hajt, I read an article he worked with Manchester and Ontario's defense and power play ? Any truth to that?

Any info on these two and what they did would be greatly appreciated

Well Davis Payne seems to always have that look of someone who's come out of the mall and can't find their car. Take that for what it is worth.

Payne focused on forwards and the PP, but all Kings coaches were responsible for system implementation. He did help bring the atrocious PP back to respectability. Seemed like a well-rounded coach.

Don't know much about Hajt as I saw limited Reign games, but he started in the OHL, then the AHL, now he's in the NHL. He's experienced success everywhere he's coached, so he's doing something right.
