What we do know is that Mesar went pretty much where he was projected. Aside from that pure conjecture for the sky is falling crowd.
To a team that had just drafted his best hockey buddy.

"Yeah, me and Juraj we know each other very well since we were kids,” Mesar told NHL.com. “We were in a lot of tournaments together. Our fathers are very good friends and this year we went on vacation together, our families. So, we know each other very well and I’m happy to be here with him."

i think Slafkovsky knowing Mesar helped the pick but damn Kulich will hunt us for a long time
There's a more than decent chance Bystedt is better than both, and Hutson & Engstrom better than anyone outside the top 5-10.... so :dunno:

I wonder if you can see that you are only making your case worse, not better

Who's blyfeld?

Presumably this person

As far as I know:
Blyfeld is too old to be draft eligible so shouldn't have been picked
Is also a female and I don't think females are officially able to be selected in the NHL draft?

Yeah, that's what I've been saying all along. Reinbacher in a nutshell. He's the master of transition. He's got lots still to work on in other areas but there's probably not even a handful of players worldwide better at transition from defense to offense. And Reinbacher isn't even an NHL player yet. That guy takes the puck away from you or one of your teammates, you better watch out. Reinbacher's vision and stretch passes are something else. He's very agile for his size as well.

Back on the top pairing next to his regular partner and Captain Steve Kellenberger tonight in Biel.

Also, here's an interesting article:

Apparently after the preseason game vs Toronto he was just about to grab some food after the sauna when he was asked "if he had 2secs". He was then handed his ticket for a flight home the next day. Reinbacher also said that there's a plan in place for his future but he's not allowed to share.

He landed 7am on Monday, took part in team practice at 10am. On Tuesday he was back at work (as a Recruiter) which is probably why he missed the game in Geneva. He said that there were three bigger groups in the Montreal training camp. US americans, Canadians and French Canadians. Reinbacher said he was just about to make friends when he got cut. He also said that the better you train and play, the more guys talk to you. His best friends were Kaiden Guhle and Filip Mesar. Cole Caufield apparently invited him to his place Saturday evening but Reinbacher was unable to go because he had to pack his stuff.

Reinbacher said he told the media to call him "Reinbacker" because he thinks it's funny and because they wouldn't be able to pronounce his name correctly anyway.

Reinbacher giving away all our secrets! I like the article though, I'll try not to read too much into the Habs cliques, and if the way he was told he was cut was disrespectful.

I don’t think there’s really cliques, maybe in camp since there’s way more guys.

Some people freaking out about the Jeff Petry comments on the sick podcast. I mean if he becomes Jeff Petry offensively, I'll have no problem with that because he's already defensively better than he ever was

What if 80% are close range rebounds, deflections, and tip ins lol
Kloten coach Fleming clearly stated “based on players I have COACHED”, Petry would be the comparable

ive played sports my whole life and some people will always click better with others and be closer friends but that dont mean nothing in general most players all get along fine

He didn't say it was disrespectful. Sounds like he just didn't really expect it at the time. He said that the exit talk was good though but didn't specify.

I think the clique thing has to be seen in context of a very large camp. Probably doesn't exist inside the actual NHL team.

I mean what he said doesn't really make sense either way, he said there were 3 groups, Americans, Canadians, and French Canadians. Groups of what? Practice squads? Friend groups? How does either make sense? Have we ever seen Caufield and Suzuki separated? Where are the Euros? Shouldn't they have their own group? Weren't there only like 7 French players at camp? Why do they get their own group? Etc, etc.

And I'll be honest I'm not worried about it, aside from Armia I think everyone gets along great, better than we have seen in a long time, just think it is an odd insight into the team

Because the aren't many of them, and they speak the same language? That's kinda how that works everywhere... doesn't mean people in 1 group hate people in the other groups lol

Yeah, the most time he was here it was a big roster camp with around 70 and then 30 players so i guess he was more talking about this rather than the regular roster guys anyway.

But not that surprising if guys like Savard, RHP or whatever speaks more together than with other guys.

Sports, workplace... not everyone is great friends and close to everyone, it's just normal life
