What player did Nashville wanted at spot #5 for Askarov + their later 1st round picks ? Was it Reinbacher ?
I would guess so, Michkov doesn't fit their identity. What player did Nashville wanted at spot #5 for Askarov + their later 1st round picks ? Was it Reinbacher ?
in 95% of the draft, dman are always picked top 5. I think Reinbacher was in-demand also evidenced by ARZ picks and also i don't think NSH would have been that agressive for Michkov if they did not have interview with him prior to that. What player did Nashville wanted at spot #5 for Askarov + their later 1st round picks ? Could had been Leonard ???? Anyway, knowing that Nashville is very good at drafting d-men, could we assume that Reinbacher should become an elite d-man at NHL level, and was the right pick at #5 ?in 95% of the draft, dman are always picked top 5. We can only speculate but it could be for Reinbacher or for someone else.
They did not have some bad experiences with Russian speaking players (Kostitsyns, Radulov)I would guess so, Michkov doesn't fit their identity.
I disagree. If so, knowing that Nashville is very good at drafting d-men, could we assume that Reinbacher should become an elite d-man at NHL level, and was the right pick at #5 ?
They did not have many good experiences with Russian speaking players (Kostitsyns, Radulov)
I was talking about Nashville, not MTL.I disagree.
Radulov experiment went great.
Kovalev, Markov as well.

It was well publicized prior to the draft Nashville's scouting team had been advised to go for high upside picks. Go big or go home type picks. That screams Michkov too me. Doubt they would have picked Reinbacher.Could had been Leonard ???? How do we know they didn't go for it?They tried to get SJ and MTL pick, so just by elimination it had to be Smith or Popcorn. If they wanted Michboy the Mutts pick should have been their target and they didn't go for it.

I thought it slid until he came to North America. Must've been wrong. His contract won't slide in '24-'25.
I’m not sure he will. He's gonna get better playing with better players. I hope he plays one of game #5 or #6.
I’m not sure he will.
If i heard Gorton at the golf tournament right, he said Reinbacher would probably get 1 pre-season game and get sent back in Switzerland.
You must however consider that Swiss League has started already and you don't want him to be too late in his preparation because he ll need to be competitive !That was clearly expectations management. It has to be. It was pretty much confirmed by the Gascon article. I don't feel like double checking but pretty sure Gorton said they would start with a game and go from there, not that it was one game.
David is already better than 26. He has to get more games, he deserves it.
Basu & Engles said they heard Preds were very interested in ReinbacherWhat player did Nashville wanted at spot #5 for Askarov + their later 1st round picks ? Was it Reinbacher ?
