again this shouldn't even be a topic, we all feel bad for the guy *personally*, he never asked to be injured and he never asked to be the target of a really bold pick. Hope for a speedy recovery
on a management/hockey level this is the type of error that should get some heads rolling tbh

They will be better once the elite prospects acquired over the 3 only drafts get better and older. Suzuki and Caufield are not gamebreakers. Slaf Demidov will be and Reinbacher will be a stud no.1 defenseman. Give it another 3 years before this team starts pushing hard for playoffs. The timing will be good as Tampa and Florida and Boston might start dropping. Absolutely no way we beat Toronto Boston Tampa Florida Devils Carolina Rangers Buffalo Ottawa and NYI this year. They are all a couple of years ahead of us in their rebuilds. Don't forget we need time for Fowler to get older and be a legit no.1 goalie.
for people that say we lost 30 games by 1 goal, yes we did but how many of those 30 games were total domination by the other team and we managed to stay in it by being opportunist?

Brutal news. I was hoping 3-4 at most. He's losing almost a whole year of development, plus all of the rehab. This was going to be a very important year for him to adapt to NA.

Hopefully he doesn't play at all this year at this point. Works out in the gym, and go all in next September. No need to force a comeback late in the year when everything will go even faster, even in the AHL.
