Not sure if I would blame Quinn for that or JG for that. I get Quinn has to do the most to win today, but the team needs to be set up to win tomorrow.
I was joking.Except he'll never receive a good pass or have one of his received properly. But, yes he will get more ice time.
Really? What better 4th liners do you see? What specific aspects of his are not NHL capablity?Blackwell has been good converting scoring chances. The rest of his game is AHL.
Quinn low-key saying he doesn't think Kakko is good defensively or on the forecheck.

Seems legit.
Wow. The stupidity of your statements truly knows no bounds.I think Quinn knows he is gone after this season, his number 1 priority is to get his career on track so that some team would at least hire his as assistant coach or as AHL coach.
The biggest problem I have with the lines is not breaking up KZB. I'd like to see Kreider and Lafreniere switch.
Maybe every issue that I have with Quinn could be solved by breaking up KZB. Kreider and Zibanejad have both struggled with invisibility this year quite a bit.
Just demonstrate some of that "accountability".
I am glad you asked. His defensive play is weak. Loses puck battles all night; fails to clear when he has the puck on his stick regularly. He passes the puck poorly in tight situations. In short he has little poise in his own zone. He is fine as a penalty killer because he can just ice the puck and he is fine in the O zone because when he loses the puck it is not a scoring chance against. On the Rangers, Rooney, PDG and even (forgive me) Howden are better suited for 4th line duties. Blackwell, if he is going to be on the team, needs to be in an offensive situation. Apparently, Quinn agrees which brings me no pleasure. I would prefer he exit stage left, move KK and VK into the top 9 along with Gauthier. if we get an injury in the top nine or someone is moved, then have Blackwell dress.Really? Few things irk me more about coaching than win = same lineup and loss = make changes without any context.Quinn is physically incapable of keeping a lineup the same after a loss of any kind, so no surprise there are changes.
But I am very unhappy he is taking Kakko off the Panarin line. Was seeing good chemistry there and I don't understand the logic. Wil lyou let the kid build some chemistry with some good vets? You are asking the fans for patience. You need to exhibit some as well.
I dont think it will matter to Kakko which line he is on, but now its extremely likely he wont be getting the same minutes he has gotten lately and thats a f***ing crime to me.
He is essentially punishing Kakko, for playing well? Blackwell hasn't done enough (especially defensively) to warrant more minutes. I dont get it
He has been just fine as a penalty killer and not sure what battles you seem him loosing, considering he emerges from corners with the puck. He is fine on the PK and not because he simply flings the puck down the ice. Rooney is certainly a better PKer, but so what? He was a buzzsaw against Buffalo. Is the the be all and end all? No. But you can do far, far worse for a 4th liner who can be moved up and down the line up when needed.I am glad you asked. His defensive play is weak. I do not think it is punishment. I think it is being done to actually get more time to the third line and hopefully get someone like Lafreniere going. Do I want him to be moved down? Of course not. But let's see how much time he actually spends there the next game and how much ice time he gets in general. He is essentially punishing Kakko, for playing well?
