I'm thinking the Caps game might be the final nail in the coffin for DQ.
If not then just before the back to back games against Ruff and the Swamp Rats
@Edge has said Quinn isn’t even on life support yet, and Brooks’ latest article basically confirmed that. They are waiting until the offseason.
Hey.. Hopefully they manage to pull out a few wins here but if not, for a team that talks a good game in accountability, I can't see how/ why they would just be content to let this season go down the tubes.
Their goal has been to make the playoffs all along so something has to give sooner or later
Urgency and ambition are overrated anyway in a multi-billion dollar business.@Edge has said Quinn isn’t even on life support yet, and Brooks’ latest article basically confirmed that. They are waiting until the offseason.
Going for that Luke Hughes so they can market the shit out of Devils-Rangers "The Hughes rivalry" for the next decade@Edge has said Quinn isn’t even on life support yet, and Brooks’ latest article basically confirmed that. They are waiting until the offseason.
In a shortened season ravaged by a pandemic, a top pick is probably the best avenue at this point.

I think people need to give the covid excuse a rest already.
Not only is every team in the league playing under the same circumstances but the Devils just ran us out of the building..
As far as the season goes, I have to disagree.
This team has the talent, they just need to be pointed in the right direction and the fact that this circus continues is a crime to the original six.
Why does it take so long to recognize the obvious and nip it in the bud?
There's patience but then there's also stupidity unless of course.. You're tanking
This draft is terrible. I want the playoffs.
They’re the youngest team in the league and largely haven’t played hockey over the past year. But yeah, that once in a lifetime situation should be given a rest. If you can’t get your head out of your rear end regarding impacts, no wonder why you think competing and tanking are the only binary choices with a team that is still technically in a rebuild. (Psssst, one that isn’t being accelerated anytime soon thanks to that uncontrollable thing you want to give a rest)

As odd as it sounds I agree, The Rangers not being good this year probably saves them from building around the older players and more around the younger. Which is what they should have been doing instead of this nonsense extending players until they are 34-35
No offense taken or given, yet Panarin, Kreider are 8-10 year older than Chytil thru Laf, was there ever really going to be a long overlapping prime year thing there where everything was going to go well?No offense but that's why their AHL affiliates very existence is for..

Again.. They've straight up shown that they can be a very formidable team as currently constructed.
I'm not expecting them to be world beaters but they should be slightly above 500.
I don't see that as being an unreasonable expectation
Complacency.
Yes, but also, in a shortened and potentially could-be-cancelled season like this one...I think they'll just do what they did with AV and ride it out until the end and let DQ go if no playoffs.Losing 5-6 in a row would change things pretty quickly though.
This would make the whole organization look clueless , Quinn needs to be fired now. This season can still be salvaged , and I don't even mean POs I mean looking like and playing like a professional hockey team. Dream scenario Quinn get canned and Gerard Gallant is hired. You know what.. I'd even accept this right now and if they fail so be it but at least it's worth a try.
Switch Quinn and Martin's roles right now and make Martin the HC and DQ an assistant coach.
Fire Oliver and get a competent offensive mind. If Quinn is that important for development. You know what.. I'd even accept this right now and if they fail so be it but at least it's worth a try.
