Pain. There ain’t no smoke guys. I’m here to tell you.
And that opinion isn’t unique to the Rangers right now.
I’m sorry?

Well that is incredibly disappointing that JD and JG think this is acceptable. Has me losing a lot of faith in them. Because to watch what is going on and not even have a change as a thought is disturbing. Very disturbing. There ain’t no smoke guys. I’m here to tell you.

This year was supposed to be different tho which is what sucks. Just wasting another year of panarins primeTime to complete the trifecta 3OA incoming.

This team cant figure it out. This coach cant. This coach does not know what to do right now. The in-game coaching is horrendous. The ice time distribution is an abomination.
Gorton two signature moves as GM are the Quinn hire and the DeAngelo trade. If Quinn goes Gorton might be on the hot seat too. I’m ready for Davidson and Drury.
Heres the thing, their view isn’t that different than what is coming out of other teams right now. So even without them, I don’t know if there many other regimes out there that would be making a move right now.
Now, the offseason? Yeah, that’s always been fair game.
I also think Mika’s odds of staying a Ranger go down with each passing week.

I feel like if management is leaning towards parting with Quinn in the off-season, why not give Martin a look now? They can label it an interim role and give themselves an opportunity to evaluate the coaching market over the summer.
Ive never done such a complete 180 on a player as with Mika. Theres a million red flags as to why he shouldnt be locked up long term given the roster we now have. Never thought Id be saying that.
Perhaps down the road.
Like I said though, I don’t think they’re looking at this roster and feeling like they are getting less with more.
You can’t skate a team that features Bitito, Hajek, Smith, PDG, Rooney, Blackwell, Howden, and Lemieux.
You can have a few of them, but not all of them.
That is definitely one conversation that I am confident is taking place.
EDIT (Quinn) meant Gorton here. specifically asked for DeAngelo in that return.Lol what?
I'll give you the first one but how does this one even rank up there with any of the other moves hes made?
It's not even top 3.
Im not saying I disagree but I’m going to push back on this. Who choose those players? Who traded for Hajek, Lemieux and Smith. Who extended Smith?Perhaps down the road.

These players were not inherited.
For sure, respectfully of course, I think the majority of the fan base agrees that you can’t win with the majority of the guys that you named. But that goes back to coaching and talent evaluation to me. You (not you) can’t say the roster isn’t good enough if you choose who was on the roster.Correct they were not.
Nothing to push back on.

I do not think the Islanders have a significantly better roster. For sure, respectfully of course, I think the majority of the fan base agrees that you can’t win with the majority of the guys that you named. They’re riding him out for the year.
Kakko and Laf look okay, they’ll get another top 5 pick that they can either keep or flip for help
And Gorton will hire his boy Sullivan in the summer because you know Pittsburgh is gonna let him go after this season
I would even say the Islanders don’t have more talent. But they have TrotzI do not think the Islanders have a significantly better roster.
I do think they have a significantly better coach who can identify each player’s strength and weaknesses, while getting the most out of them and while getting them to adhere to a system and structure that wins hockey games.
Let Quinn ride out the season? How much more do we want to poison the well for this team? For Lafreniere and Kakko who have to be exposed to this garbage?
