With the Bruins clearly entering a rebuild phase that could last a few years of Pasta’s prime, do they keep him or trade him to get a haul that will greatly accelerate their rebuild ?

Maybe 4 top 5 picks and that´s a maybe. If he had decent top6 center, he would run away with Hart Trophy like nothingEquivalent of 4 firsts.
Imo Pasta would return the equivalent of four firsts. So likely two actual picks and a young NHLer, who was a recent first rounder, and a prospect who was a first rounder.Maybe 4 top 5 picks and that´s a maybe. If he had decent top6 center, he would run away with Hart Trophy like nothing
Swayman played like utter shit this year. Boston will bet on a bounce back in net and a healthy McAvoy. They aren't going to tear it down to the studs, they will look to compete again as soon as next year. Schaefer and Misa will be day 1 NHLer's, probably Hagens and Martone too. Maybe not impact like Bedard and Celebrini right away but similar to Leo Carlsson and Adam FantilliThere is no Celebrini in this draft. At the very best scenario some of the kids can become impactful players in a season, but I doubt even about this, there is no michkovs in the draft either.
Pastas at the age where if they are committed to a retool, they need to nail it in like 2-3 seasons.
If they don’t, and it looks like they need to do a full rebuild, Pastas value at 31/32 is a lot different than what it is at 28.
But I thought you never win trading a superstar?Pastas at the age where if they are committed to a retool, they need to nail it in like 2-3 seasons.

Maybe Pasta has a desire to win a Cup?seems to me they have already started the re-tool
Pasta is going to be offered the Captaincy no doubt if they have not already verbalized that to him by now.. My guess is Pasta will retire a Bruin.
You never do well trading a superstar ever.
The only missing piece is a true 1st line center. The defense is weaker these days but a good defensive coach can add structure again.I honestly feel like many posters have just been dying for the B's to lose. sone think they are entering an oilers level decade of darkness to not be heard from until 2035 again.
I think it's a retool and will quickly turn around.
Swayman should be better next year
Healthy McAvoy
Pasta is still elite
There are your building blocks. Nice start.
