Russian winger Danila Yurov is playing in the Metallurg Magnitogorsk system, splitting time between the KHL and MHL. He struggled to get ice time in the KHL, playing mainly on the fourth line. He didn’t put up a point in 21 regular season games or 19 playoff games. However, he was very good at the MHL level. In 23 games, he scored 13 goals and 26 assists for 36 points. Yurov also had a goal at the World Juniors, but the tournament was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
In 2020-21, he scored one goal and one assist in 21 KHL games, as well as one goal in three playoff games. In the MHL, he scored 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points in 23 games. He also added two goals and three points in three playoff games. Yurov represented Russia at the IIHF Under-18 World Hockey Championships. He scored four goals and seven assists for 11 points in seven tournament games and helped his team to a silver medal. In 2019-20 he put up two goals and six assists for eight points in six games at the U17 World Hockey Challenge. He helped Russia to a gold medal.
