I like Mason. I wish him luck in the future and I hope he gets it together. When he plays well he's a solid goalie. But he currently has worse stats than both Lehtonen and Niemi this season(and neither has good stats). Not sure why you'd expect Dallas to be interested right now.

Why not just Mason for Niemi?

Flyers get a goalie they can expose in the ED, while protecting Stolarz.

Stars get a UFA goalie that frees up $4.5m in space next season, plus Mase gets reunited with his old goalie coach.

Isn't Dallas' D just as bad as Philly's? Wouldn't change much for either team. Dallas just basically gives up picks for Hagg. Makes no sense.

Don't know how this helps either team. Both are looking for an upgrade in net.

I like this idea. It seems the two teams could help each other out with this deal.

Everyone looking to pounce on Dallas' disaster of a net situation.

They likely just wait until this offseason, bite the bullet, and buy one of them out, and hope to sign a guy like Bishop

This. A buyout this offseason makes more sense
