Post-Game Talk: Stars 2 - Jets 1 in OT, Dallas win Series 4-2

Perfectly relaxed. But it’s silly to insinuate I’m someone else who I guess you regulars knew. I have no idea who anyone is. Is this place only for long time posters? Too many people are very aggressive to opinions they don’t like. I’m perfectly friendly (other than to the guy attacking me for nothing). Supposed to be discussing hockey and the team we all love.

Has little to do with Chevy at the helm. I say that as someone that has thought at various points that they should turf Chevy and go in a different direction.

Winnipeg is on basically every NMC/NTC. They’re not getting any premiere UFAs. It is what it is.
You're very right, unfortunately. Fans are going to have to start selling out more regular season games because the President's Trophy will become this team's Stanley Cup.

I think next year you work very hard at integrating some of the young guys into the lineup during the regular season.
Forget about the Presidents cup.
Forget about chasing goaltending records.
Break in some young players and let guys rest near the end of the season, whether they want to or not.

Wtf does that even mean. It is an indisputable fact that Hellebuyck allowed less goals than the opposition in this series.

If you want to throw out blame then toss it at the piss poor goal scoring.
omg lol...wtf does that even mean...the reason the jets wanted to be in first place overall was to have home ice advantage in the playoffs.....do u even comprehend the obvious!!!!....it was given away in the first game of the series!!!!...ergo they lost the season......the reason they have helly is to stop the shots from becoming goals!!!! so the jets have a chance to win...duh!!!

Because I don’t post often. And when the board was upgraded I couldn’t get on for awhile. I’ve never posted here under any other name. And I use the handle on other boards too. Don’t troll.
Lol, accusing King of trolling.

I hardly ever post anymore but even I am aware that he has been a regular poster with valid opinions since the Jets returned to Winnipeg.

Awwwww crybaby. Yeah youre right. We’re supposed to just shrug and say well they played hard. Who said they didn’t?

You think these players were happy with chevy at the deadline? Get your head out of your ass. The team isn’t good enough for playoff hockey and everyone knew it.

But sure I can’t say that. No one can say that. You certainly can never be critical. Only people who have been GM’s in the nhl
Can be critical. What a loser mentality and it’s why so many accept mediocrity.

Embrace losing, pal. I’ll be with all the fans who want better.
I mean, they were literally a goal away from game 7 vs the Cup favourites in the 2nd round. They had flaws as a team but we can put the "not good enough for playoff hockey" thing to bed.

Tough way to end, have to be proud of the boys - but obviously still hurts.

My frustration will always lie with management.

To go into an aspiring cup run, pretending that Namestnikov is a viable 2C was lunacy. Appleton is what he is, a fourth liner.

I know this city has issues with FA, but you need to help your core if you’re Chevy.

For the Jets, not fecked with by me.
Thanks to the org for a great year.

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.

Hate to complain about the reffing, but man the Jets were at a disadvantage all playoffs.

So many examples of missed calls etc.

A player hits the ref with his stick, isn't suspended automatically as he should be, then the same player gets a verbal warning tonight for jumping into hits instead of getting a penalty for doing so.

I can't complain about the effort from the Jets, but the NHL , for whatever reason, decided the Jets had to play at a disadvantage.

I don't want to be that guy but of the 8 teams left in the playoffs the Jets had the most PP opportunities.

Props to the Jets for an outstanding season. What incredible perseverance from Scheifele along with the rest of the group. They should be proud of their effort.

Sign one more puck moving, offensively minded defenceman and win the cup next year.
We can't sign anyone who isn't either a) drafted by us or b) another team's trash

I see your point. There were times the jets showed what they can be but it also felt when Dallas (and even st Louis) wanted to, they imposed their will. It feels like the jets just aren’t quite big enough or gritty enough or deep enough. Clearly they are very good in the regular season.

Realistically if Helle played his usual self all series things are different. But I think it’s fair to want the team to be better.

It really felt at times like the refs had their fingers on the scale

That said, i can't fault the call on schief. They need to call that every time, and they will

Agreed on the "warning"... if it was a penalty, f***ing call it. Same thing with the Marchment tap on the ref earlier in the series. It's a black and white call

If the goaltenders had been switched the Jets still would have lost the series.

I guess that every game the Jets lose is Helle's fault. He should have just had four shootouts this series instead of two.

I don’t think that’s a very nice way for people to be. But you do you. If you want to pretend this team “had no chance”, that’s on you.
Why would you jump to that extreme and think it’s ok to call someone (whose opinion has been echoed by many here) a sociopath? No one said they had no chance. I’ve been very complimentary. You see what you want to see.
