I believe Luka forced this, I don’t believe Dallas’ cop out statement. He got you to the finals but they felt like they couldn’t win with him.

Of course it's a cop out, they have to find a way to justify it by saying that they improved their defense so this makes them better lol and that this is a trade for the now and "the future" getting a player 8 years older than the player they dealt. There's no way they really believe that nonsense.

You can't say no here if you're the Lakers but they're not winning anything with that front court now until they shift from Lebron's team to Luka's, Mavericks lineup looks monstrous if it was 2015. Most stunning trade in NBA history

Luka is a generational talent and 7 years younger, no brainer trade for LA imo and I'm a big AD fan. They have their post-LeBron superstar now and will build around him.

Speaking of LeBron, curious to see what happens next. Lakers could still make some noise this year if they trade for a decent big. Or maybe they'd rather trade him and start their next chapter now. He has a NMC but he'd probably be willing to waive it if they promise to send him to a contender. Cavs farewell tour maybe? Next few days should be interesting.

lots of teams go to the finals lol ye he did good last year but he still doesn't come across to me as a guy who has the dog in him .
Two of the last three years he's taken that Dallas squad to the NBA Finals and Western Conference Finals. He almost singlehandedly beat the Phoenix Suns in that 2nd round matchup and demolished Devon Booker.

He absolutely has that dog in him. I don't know how you could watch the guy - especially in big games and late in games - and think he doesn't.

i hope this puts to rest any "lebron runs the lakers FO" BS. he hasn't had any power in that department since the westbrick debacle and there is zero chance he would have even considered moving AD

this move was made 100% with the lakers future in mind and lebron could not care less about that

The Lakers are such a badly run franchise it's insane to me how they just get all the luck lmao, Dallas CALLED them and wanted Davis for Doncic. I don't understand, if you're scared to offer a 25 year old a supermax because he won't stay on the court, fine, but why make a trade for a player that's SEVEN years older, worse, and also can't stay on the court. It actually makes no sense.

So what's the deal with the Mavs GM ? Is this guy considered any good because he looks like he just killed his team. But maybe it looks so bad because we can't see the genius of it. Is the GM a genius ?
