1G, 2A tonight. Looked fantastic with Mynio on the top pairing. Seems like they were on the ice half the game. Played key minutes on the PP and on the PK, especially on a 5-on-3 in the 3rd period.

Good skater for a guy his size. His IQ is very high.

Honestly if you told me he was 25, I’d believe you, reminds me of Nolan Allan in that he looks super old hah.

Met him at the team’s Christmas party, super nice guy and blending in well with the team, it helps he has another player from Czechia on the team

Buddy of mine works in the league and has ice time data. He says Mrtka had over 28 minutes against Victoria and has led the Thunderbirds in ice time every game since day 1 – except for that last one against Kamloops, where Mrtka got 26 minutes but Mynio had 28+.

This start is very encouraging. Should keep him in round 1 for sure. High minutes and lots of offence. Showing more offence than I expected to be honest. Need him and a handful of other Czech D to make the show so we don't suck anymore.lol

Jiricek, Jiricek, Svozil, Badinka, Dvorak, Hamara, Alscher... all top 100 picks. Then add in Mrtka who is very likely a first rounder at this point. And Spacek who is a late bloomer (maybe). Some of these guys have to make the show, right?
