Philippe Blais-Savoie was buried a bit in the depth chart for Tri-City this season, the Storm have become a defenseman factory in recent years.

Blais-Savoie is a smart, smooth skating D. I liked his offensive instincts for reading the play and timing his rushes and pinches. He's good with transition play through puck movement or skating through the neutral zone. Showed a lot of good connectivity skills transitioning the puck from defense to offense. Also good at reading the play defensively, not imposing but good intelligence to stay ahead of the play and get the puck away without incident.

Likely getting a large role with Tri-City next year and committed to Colorado College for 2024/25. I'd peg him as a 4th or 5th rounder.

I'd like the Flames to use their later picks on him if he's still available and Unger Sorum isn't.

Great eye, seriously. You always seem to spot a few of these players.

He didn't get drafted, but I agree with you he should've. Still could get drafted in the upcoming years.

This was my scouting report for his USHL season.

I think this guy might be sneaking up on draft radars. Haven’t heard his name suggested as a pick all year, but I think he has a chance at it. He’s a left-shot defenseman. Skates well and about average size at 6’0. Has some offense. It’s not anything elite, but could be a PP2 guy as he moves up to pro hockey. Defensively, not bad either. I could also see him as a PK2 type. He’s pretty steady. He was playing California High School Hockey last year, so he’s one of these players that wasn’t playing junior his U17 season. These players typically take a little longer to get recognition in their draft season. Don’t think it’s a lock he’s picked, but I’d rank him as a draftable player in the late rounds.
