It was my first time seeing him live this weekend and wow he DID NOT disappoint. For a 6'6 player his skating is unbelievable. Way better skater than Owen Power was at his age. Better skater than Noah Dobson is right now in my opinion.
He does not show the offense that Power did at this age but his skating, reads, gaps and puck moving are all very good. He showed desire to get involved offensively by joining rushes and getting low in the O zone for shots. Got knocked over quite easily a few times but he is 15 and 6'6 so I think this is something that will go away once his leg strength improves. Regardless of that he skates like a gazelle. Absolutely amazing skater for his size.
If this kid isn't on the NTDP next year I might eat crow. LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this kid.
