He’s going to surprise folk at the WJC.

I haven't seen him enough to assess him.

The one thing that stuck with me was how Abols (the U20 head coach) immediately named him as a potential PP quarterback in the WJC and said he's a good skater who can move the puck after the first exhibition game against the Lithuanian men's team. Considering he's an underager and I wouldn't complain about our D depth, that sort of did raise an eyebrow.

Surprised this kid doesn't have a thread. He could find his way into the top 3 rounds of the draft this year, and is a sleeper 1st rounder.

NHL Central scouting seem to agree with you on the "top 3 rounds" - they gave him a "B" rating. But in no way he is a first rounder. I even think that top 3 round is a reach, unless he gets pro games with the big club later in the season. J20 Nationell will only get you as far as 4th - 5th round. In Europe, you need to play with men to be a top prospect.

Looking forward to the U20 WC. As Namejs said, Abols seems to think highly of Uljanskis. Will be interesting to see how much leftovers he gets from Fenenko and Bulans.
