He's probably going to come over and play for the Spitfires this year. They passed on an import pick so i'd assume hes going to come over.
 
Been real bad for the Spits so far this season, hardly worthy of a Import slot.

after a slow start he's picked up the production of late, perhaps just needs some time to adjust to what imo is the best junior league in the world (that or the WHL).

First 7 games of the season - 7-0-1-1, -6, 4 pims
Since then - 9-1-7-8, +4, 8 pims.

He and Henault jump into the rush too often causing odd man rushes the other way.
Windsor knows how to score, they’re one of the highest scoring teams in the CHL, but Sobolev and Henault are BIG reasons why they are one of the worst defensive teams in the CHL also.

Sobolov's +27 in Windsor makes it look like he's transitioned well. Curious what kind of progress he can make going forward. Anyone see him play lately?
 
I guess he will be playing as an Overager, because he was drafted before playing in the CHL, he remains on the Reserve List until June 1, 2025 (as opposed to two years). Not sure if he is going to get signed at this rate, he may end up going back to Russia but he seems committed to North America for now.
