I doubt they have ever heard of travelers cheques. I'm over 30 but I have no idea how to use them and what the purpose is.

Dude, I learned what they were at age 16. You buy them with your money at your bank (converted into any currency you need) and put your signature on them. They will then be accepted in the pace you are visiting as currency as long as you show them a valid piece of picture ID with your purchase. If stolen, they are completly insured.

Don't worry, I'm sure the people running the tournament will make sure these kids have whatever they need.

I doubt the Czechs were specifically targeted. The police have said that there have been a string of hotel robberies, so the Czechs just got caught up in the middle of it. Bad luck to be sure.

We should all start a fundraiser for their team. Knowing they lost all their belongings, shoes, pants, and hats.

I'm talking to the food bank to see if they can provide the team with free meals everyday until the tournament is over. We all know its christmas time and these kids are away from their famillies. I hope we can send them boxes of canned food without any can openers, that way they don't starve. Its really sad that people in Canada have to take things that don't belong to them... If you're going to take something from one team, be fair and try to take something from every team.
