Unfortunate, Czechs deserved better. But given we almost lost it in reg., I will gladly take the point. Skarek is exceptional talent, but he is not having the best tournament. Vladar from now on and imo should have started today.

Also zboril should sit next game. He needs to smarten up.

No, he is rock solid defensively. Dumb penalties yes, but can't afford to sit him and there's not even a replacement available. Budik would have to be added to the roster.

Great game from both teams, wouldn't be too surprised to see either of these teams give any of the big 4 a run for their money. Awesome that the underdogs have taken a step.

I agree you can't sit him but he needs to be much better than this. This was a good round robin game.

Czechs are still in position for 2nd place if other results go as expected. Swiss would need a point against Finland, Finland would need some against Sweden, or the Czechs would have to not beat Denmark in regulation.

I think given the chance ahead of time to take 4 points against Finland and the Swiss the Czechs would have probably taken it.

I would say so. If everything went the way it ''should'', Czechs win against Swiss and Danes, lose against Finns and Swedes. 4 points in two games is solid and correct me if I am wrong, but if Czechs managed to beat both Danes and Swedes they would finish 1st. Not saying it's likely scenario, but it's possible...

At work so I didnt get to watch the game.

Was Zboril really that bad defensively? That's disappointing. Looks like he picked up 2 assists....

Exact opposite. He is great defensively and can make some nice passes too. It's the penalties he is taking. Just way too dumb.

I think the Swiss has a better team than Finland, based on the first game I've seen of both teams.

What an ending! Terrific Czech and Swiss fans from abroad, made for interesting atmosphere.

Going to continue with my statement, Montreal is one of the worst places to watch a Hockey game, atmosphere is a joke.

I hope it's never held here again. Give it to a small town. A real Hockey city. Not a city that supports a business that's purely in it for the cash grab.

I don't see why a Halifax/Toronto combo can't work. not even a 2 hour flight which is nothing...Hamilton and Ottawa would also be better choices.....heck probably Quebec as well. Brutal atmosphere in Montreal but that is nothing new....

Swiss were lucky, and Czechs were tired. I still think Swiss will end up in relegation battle. Their goalie is bad.

missed the game unfortunately. would be nice if someone can name the best players from the Czech side (especially forwards group).

Spacek, Chlapik of course. Adam musil is a type which always we need... David Kase and Martin Necas also have played very well.
