I think the Czechs was the better team, in general, than the Finns. Maybe the Finns were the "better" team on paper but they were not constant and could'nt utilize.

Czechs were lot more 'ready' with their play then Finns, considering it was the first game.

- Finns gave very careless overall impression in puck handling, and in Zone-entries, as well as in scoring changes.
- Czechs were better physically. That came increasingly visible toward the end of the game.
- Czechs had better drive for win.
- Finns PK was best single thing in our play, PP was not bad either.
...

There are only one direction from this: Upwards.

Congratz again! Better team won. :)

Well... I certainly didn't expect this. They were better than Finland and it makes me wonder what changed between the pre-tournament games and this one.

So, Krenzelok with a solid performance today. Kurovsky not bad at all.
Looked better than I thought they would.

Nättinen is nowhere near a 1st line center. He could be an ok 3rd line center for Finland, but it tells all, when such an offensively mediocre player is as our 1st line center. Also his skating is not at all impressive. To me he looked clearly as Finland's weakest player today. Palmu also very meh. So small guy with no reach and not that great skating as a tiny guy like that would definitely need to have in this kind of a top class tournament. The 1st line is a complete mess and a complete waste of our best offensive player, which is Tolvanen.

I am absolutely stunned with how stupidly Rautakorpi has made the lines, just seems like he is practically trying to make the worst kind of combination possible. How he could really think that Palmu-Nättinen-Tolvanen would be a well working combination? Just utterly unbelievable. :shakehead

Kuokkanen was a huge disappointment also. At least defence and Vehviläinen played pretty well, but the forwards in general looked awful, especially with their skating and timing.

I have not lost all my hope yet, but my trust in Rautakorpi has definitely taken a severe blow. I'm not sure if I am able to trust his coaching as much I thought I would...

Oh, but an important thing was almost forgotten. Czechs were clearly better and fully deserved the win. Congratulations Czechia!

there is something going wrong with finland setup, what did they changed from U18.

it was Vesalainen - Räsänen - Tolvanen line which worked right?

Congrats Czechia! I still have faith in the Finnish team, but only if coaching figures something out.

Finns were embarrassing.

But I didn't think either team looked good, difficult to find highlight plays from that game.
