The Kings are clearly in need of goaltending help. But, handcuffed by their cap space are looking for a goalie with NHL experience, two way contract, and expiring after this season.

Insert CBJ back up C-Mac.

With Jonas Korprisalo prepping for his return from a pre-season injury, this would be the perfect time pick him up.

As a CBJ fan I'll admit I don't think we'd even want anything worthwhile in return other than an AHL player that if claimed off waivers presented a low round draft choice.

Thoughts?

After injuries to Gaborik, then McNabb, and Budaj playing lights out, and being shutout for consecutive games, goaltending is moving down the priority list of crises.

So...we're in need of goaltending, and the offer is a 3rd string goaltender? A 3rd string goaltender that isn't even better than our current 4th string goaltender?

Goaltending is not the problem in la The fact we have injuries to Gaborik ,McNabb Purcell and now Andreoff Has hurt our depth We have bottom 6 player playing top 6 mins (king lewis clifford Setogushi have all seen time in top 6) We haven't scored many goals at all. Hard to win when you don't score. Budja has played well since Zatkoff went down. Curtis is not a upgrade on Budja so no real point in this discussion

It's more or less a chance for you to have two NHL goalies on your roster while you're dealing with your goaltender injuries.

Again, not a long term solution but more of something to fall back in for Budaj to get a rest on back to backs or in the event he needs a prolonged rest.

And again, not looking for anything great back a just something to offset the financials due to cap limitation.

In Columbus we've rode our goalies into the ground over the past couple years and having another guy back there is valuable.

I think a few fans above are downplaying the goaltending problem; Berube has been stellar the last two games, but the big question is if he can do it for three months. I'm in the camp that believes his career is an accurate predictor of where he is as a goalie--that is a below-average starter (though a good backup). I strongly doubt that he's just randomly turned a corner into a .930 goaltender based on the last couple of nights...

That being said, this proposal doesn't change a thing, Mac doesn't represent an upgrade of any kind, much less one where we should give up an asset.

Wasn't really going for an upgrade currently, more of a future/present kind of thing.

LA has no goaltending prospects to speak of.

well we really don't need any with zatkoff signed for next year we have our back up to quick. Budja and Campbell work for this year Should budja leave campbell is young enough to take over with imoo moving up to back up and we still have flinn in manchester to move up if needed Also finding a goalie is something the kings kinda cheap out on Always a goalie not signed out there with nhl experience aka lindmark
